BONDURANT. The first known of the name in America was Dr. Joseph Bondurant, a Huguenot, who was banished from France on account of his religion, during the reign of Queen Anne, about the year 1700. He was wealthy in France, but could only bring his library with him. He and his companions, Ford, Agee, O'Briant and Shatteen, all settled in Virginia
