These biographies were submitted by a researcher and evidently abstracted from the 1876 History of Sangamon
County, IL. Errors could occur, so one should always verify the correctness by obtaining copies of vitals and performing all
necessary research to document what is contained herein.
DRENNAN, WILLIAM
. See his name, page 264. He died Sept. 28, 1876. He had been for several years, and was at the time of his death, the oldest citizen of Sangamon county. His funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J. C. Van Patten, from Psalms 23-4: "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me."
