These biographies were submitted by a researcher and evidently abstracted from the 1876 History of Sangamon County, IL. Errors could occur, so one should always verify the correctness by obtaining copies of vitals and performing all necessary research to document what is contained herein.




REDMAN, JAMES B., was born in St. Louis county, Mo., and commenced learning the trade of a blacksmith in St. Louis with Rames & Owens, moved with them to Springfield, Illinois, in April, 1830, and later was four years engaged in the same business with Nathaniel Rames, as Rames & Redman. He then returned to St. Louis county, and was there married, in 1834, to Martha A. Graham, and had two children--

MARY E., born near St. Louis, married John O. Rames. See his name.

MARGARET married William T. Henly, and resides near St. Louis.

Mrs. Redman died, and James B. Redman is living with his third wife, at Baden, St. Louis county, Mo.
