SHEPARD, LEWIS M.
, was born July 31, 1817, near Green village, Morris county, N. J. He came to Sangamon county with his aunt Phoebe Mesler, wife of Cornehus Mesler, in the fall of 1834. He is not yet married and resides with his aunt Mesler, three miles northeast of Berry Station. See her name.
