ANDREW SOUTHWICK was born in Sangamon county, Illinois, and the son of James and Louisa Southwick, (nee Trumbo), who was born in Kentucky. His father died January, 1869, and mother in 1875. The subject of this sketch received a common school education, and was raised on a farm, and married in 1874, to Ann Brunk, who was the daughter of David and Maria Brunk. They have three children: John B., Samuel and George. He moved on the present farm in 1875, and owns eighty acres of land, which is worth $50 per acre. Democratic in politics.
