JACOB YOCUM was born December 17, 1787, in a fort or block house, in Bourbon county, near where the city of Lexington, Kentucky, now stands. Mary Booth was born February 11, 1791, in the same county. They moved to Marion county, Illinois, and from there to Sangamon county, arriving November 2, 1828, in what is now Williams township.
