Connected By Marriage
I have gone through each featured surname and extracted all the names associated by marriage to the family. This means any connected name: in-laws, previous marriages, and later marriages. The associated names which appear in the book elsewhere as a featured individual or child has an asterisk following the name in this list. Possible uses for this information To help identify a family to do look-ups. You can see what the featured name is and check the associated names to see if they might also be featured in the book. I use this information to remind me of what associated families I should look for in census', marriage and burial records. I made a graph with my word processor with these fields: Featured Name, Associated Names (listed on one line each name leaving the first line blank so the record for the featured name could be used), 1876, 1912, 1850, 1860, 1880, Marriages, Cemetery, Births, Family Search, Internet Search, County Page. Then I as I researched I marked each column per name with an X (found), O (Not found), M (maybe). Enjoy!
